There’s a flexibility gap: 80% of companies say they offer some form of flexibility, but only 19% of employees report having access to it. The solution, ironically, is to add more structure to flexibility.
So what could a framework for flexibility look like? We conducted a meta-analysis of the existing research on flexibility and looked at these fundamental components: where we work, when we work, and how predetermined our schedule is.
