Emotional Intelligence has been around for three decades, has an entire centre dedicated to its study at Yale University and has been identified by the World Economic Forum as a Top 10 employability skill for 2020. What exactly is EI? Why is it important for coaches? And is there a model of EI that could act as a blueprint for coaching clients? Join David Cory, coach and leadership development specialist, as he reviews the model of EI that is the basis for the world’s first scientific measure of emotional intelligence, the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0), first published in 1997 and now used by leading companies such as Google, Nike, Amazon, Microsoft, as the basis for their leadership development programs.
